My name is Ryan Hall and I am a senior Political Science Major and Communications Minor at Illinois State University. If you are reading this page you most likely found me through the POL312 (Public Opinion) Class page. In addition to all my classroom commitments I am involved in a few other campus organizations, such as the Student Government Association. Outside of Illinois I am working on two internships. One is for my state senator and another is for World Vision, a Christian Humanitarian organization.
For my issue blog I wanted to pick a topic that would keep me going and interested throughout the entire year. In trying to decide on a topic it was also important that I be able to find new and continuing information. My preliminary topic is Foreign Policy as it relates to Africa. In 2007 I traveled to Zambia, Africa and I think I left a piece of my heart behind. More specifically I am an advocate for AIDS relief and funding and am hoping that I will be able to find polling issues that relate to that. I am not declaring this as my "official" topic because I am waiting to talk about the possibility of this being a topic with our professor.
